Yes. You can offer Qurbani on behalf of family members, deceased loved ones, or even the entire Ummah. The intention must be made clearly before the sacrifice.

Qurbani is performed during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, specifically on the 10th, 11th, and 12th days, following the Eid prayer.

Permissible animals include camels, cattle (cows, bulls), sheep, and goats. These animals must meet specific age and health criteria to be eligible for sacrifice.

 

According to Sunnah, if you intend to offer Qurbani, you should refrain from cutting your hair and nails from the 1st of Dhul Hijjah until the sacrifice is done.

 

“Qurbani Fi Sabeelillah” refers to performing the sacrifice solely for the sake of Allah, with the intention of aiding those in need. Alkhidmat’s program focuses on distributing meat to underprivileged communities, ensuring they partake in Eid celebrations.
